Fresh start for Victoria Parade
Victoria Parade in Urmston is set to rival Manchester’s chicest suburbs with this latest development of five new eating venues planned for completion by the end of October 2014.
In the square will be an English brasserie, opposite the site of the old Victoria pub, a Mediterranean tapas bar, a pizza bar serving wood-fired pizzas and a frozen yoghurt cafe.
In addition to the children’s play area, cafe and hairdresser, they will provide ideal havens for people young and old to relax
Site manager Joey Abid comments:
“It is about time something happened to Victoria Parade in Urmston, residents need something more upmarket that will really bring the square back to life.”
The piece de resistance will be an American style restaurant, Woody’s, the walls of which will consist of 22 different types of locally sourced reclaimed wood. Woody’s will serve smoked beef prepared using machines specially imported from America as well as the usual array of steaks and ribs. The interior will be very industrial looking to reflect Manchester’s heritage.
