Where is Lymm
Lymm is a large pleasant village and civil parish within the Warrington borough of Cheshire located on the A56 approximately half-way between Warrington and Altrincham. The civil parish of Lymm incorporates the hamlets of Booths Hill, Broomedge, Church Green, Deansgreen, Heatley, Heatley Heath, Little Heatley, Oughtrington, Reddish, Rushgreen and Statham. According to a 2001 Census, LYMM had a population of 10,552 with an average age of 40.3 years. This affluent area includes wonderful homes at all prices. It is a very popular, desirable location, which can be described as semi-rural and one can quickly access the fields and lanes of the surrounding countryside. Transport
The M56 and M6 motorways are both within 3 miles of Lymm. The conjunction of these motorways with the A50[ is known as the Lymm Interchange, and hosts a service station known as the Poplar 2000 services and a well used truck stop. The A56 also passes just south of the village, connecting the nearby towns of Warrington and Altrincham.
Anyone looking to drive from Lymm to Manchester will find that the average journey time takes around 40 minutes, although commuter traffic may slightly extend this length of time. The driving distance is around 18 miles and the route utilises the M56 and the A5103.
While there is no train station in Lymm, there are a number of railway stations in nearby towns and villages which provide easy access to the heart of Manchester. One common route for many Lymm residents is to drive or take public transport to Warrington and then travel from Warrington station to Manchester. Even when relying on a bus to get to the train station, this is a journey that is commonly completed in just over an hour depending on waiting times.
